Heartbreak Hotel, Bowers Beach, Delaware Landmark

This is a colorful fine art print reproduction from my original watercolor painting of the famous "Heartbreak Hotel", named after the classic Elvis tune, a historical watering hole located in the small town of Bowers Beach, Delaware, near the waterfront of the Delaware Bay in Kent County. The bar and restaurant was famously remembered for its rustic interior, warped flooring (from being underwater countless times), raucous local crowds, and ice-cold Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. I recall taking my parents to the Heartbreak (which my mother adored!) in the mid-80's. A photo courtesy of the Delaware Public Archives was my source for the painting, estimated circa early 1980's. However, I changed the depiction of the vehicles parked in front of the joint to protect the privacy of the patrons! Unfortunately, the establishment was razed in 2005 as it had become somewhat of a structural hazard, but its memory shall live on through the photos, memories, and my painting.

The prints are reproduced on bright white archival grade heavy 300gsm Red River Aurora White acid-free 100% cotton rag paper using premium inks at 600 dpi, resulting in stunningly vibrant reproductions of the original painting.

8" x 10" prints can be purchased either unmatted (print only) or with 11" x 14" mat.

11" x 14" or 13" x 19" prints have no mat and will be shipped in rolled form using a sturdy cardboard mailer tube. Each print is individually signed and dated by me.

Note that no frame is included.
